Letter to Pastors
To the Pastors of Fort Wayne,
As a pastor, you are an especially important part of The Fort 4 The Fatherless campaign.
We need Pastors to prayerfully read the Pledge to Orphans and then commit to publicly signing it in front of the congregation on Orphan Sunday 2010 (November 7, 2010). We are calling this “Signing Day.”
Without the support of Fort Wayne’s pastors, this campaign will not succeed. However, we are confident the leaders of Fort Wayne’s churches understand God’s heart for the fatherless. We are confident that you believe caring for orphans is “pure and undefiled religion” (James 1:27) that is a witness to a skeptical world. We are confident that the leaders of Fort Wayne’s churches will be the MOST excited people about The Fort 4 The Fatherless campaign.
If you are a pastor, please take a moment to download the Pledge to Orphans. Prayerfully read it over. If God leads you to publicly sign the pledge on Orphan Sunday 2010 (November 7, 2010), please complete a simple on-line sign up form to let us know. We have resources available to make your Signing Day event a special one. We are also ready to help your church fulfill its pledge through a number of innovative projects and programs. Just let us know that you’re planning to sign the Pledge via our easy on-line sign-up form, and we’ll be at your service. We look forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
The Fort 4 The Fatherless Team
PS. If your church is already committed to serving the fatherless, please consider signing the pledge as a testimony to the community and an affirmation of what you’re already doing. Signing the pledge will encourage other churches to sign the pledge as well.
